If you read to the end of this article, you will have a firm grasp on an authentic mission statements and why they are important. A mission is something that many of us equate with a corporation. What is a personal mission? Your personal mission is a statement that defines your life purpose as you live it everyday. A mission is usually made up of something you want to happen and something you are doing to realize it. My mission is to inspire female entrepreneurship, so that women can be true to their nature in every area of their life. I’m writing this blog post and reaching our to women around the world.

I’ve developed trainings for any woman who wants to live an authentic life that is true to her nature. Our personal mission usually incorporates some kind of work that we plan to do. Wikipedia, says that a mission is a goal that we have for the world. Mission statements are bigger than, I want to cook with friends on Friday night. It’s more like, I want to teach women around the world a way to prepare my meals if they would like.

Your spirit will guide your mission statement. It’s a statement that is meant to be simple, but the meaning behind it is usually quite deep. If we look at my mission, the first part is the mission, “I aim to inspired female entrepreneurship.” The second statement is “so that women can be true to their nature in every area of their lives.”

The important thing is that your mission is grounded in your true nature and that it considers your personal values and morals. These must all be consistent for you to build your dream business. Keep in mind, this might be your ‘working mission statement’. It’s important to stay open and flexible for change. For example, I’ve had my business plan, mission, vision and values created for some time, however, just yesterday I changed my mission statement. It’s now truly consistent.

When you have this mission statement complete, you’ll have a foundation to set goals that root you in your purpose.

It was only when I opened my spirit, that my mission flowed through my finger-tips. If you would like to, please open a blog post* and write a mission statement. It may take several tries, to just keep going until you feel you’ve got a good one.

Consider it your working document. If you feel good about your mission, please write it into the comments area of this post. I would love to read it.

With love, Amanda
